APA Style helps

USING APA STYLE

If your teacher asks you to use the “APA Style” for your research paper or report, he/she is referring to The Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association. Amberton University currently recognizes the 7th Edition of the manual as an academically acceptable format. This book explains how to present the information in your paper using certain rules and guidelines for elements such as:

  • punctuation and abbreviations
  • selection of headings
  • citation of references
  • presentation of statistics

The Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association may be purchased in a bookstore or may be found in the Library. The call number for circulating copies of this book is BF 76.7 .P83 2020. If all circulating copies are checked out, you can use the reference copy (please ask at the circulation desk). The Library owns copies of the 7th edition, and some copies of previous editions.
